The video starts with lively music. This will stay throughout.
An image appears inside a rectangle that gets bigger and bigger until it occupies the whole screen with the words “LEARN LIVE” written on the screen.
The image behind the words is of a group of six women from a panel split into two groups of three addressing an audience of girls in a gym. They are smiling, cheering and clapping their hands.
There are three to the left and a two to the right with a moderator in the middle. The groups are sitting down behind a table covered by a blue cloth. At the bottom there’s the Studio You logo and next to it it says "a platform powered by" over the This Girl Can logo.
The square becomes smaller again and it splits into three parts.
The one on the left shows a group of women exercising barefoot on an exercise mat on a white background with blue and pink rectangles and red lines. The image in the middle shows the moderator holding some papers and looking straight at the camera, and the one on the right is of another woman from the initial group looking to her left and wearing a wireless microphone.
Part of a word appears over three new images on the screen. The one on the left is of a group of schoolgirls seating on chairs while one of them speaks into a microphone. The one in the middle is of a young woman looking ahead and talking. The one on the right is of two young women exercising.
The image in the middle becomes bigger until it occupies the whole screen with the word "PRESENTS" in the middle.
The image then flips on itself, giving way to a man and a woman exercising on a white floor and blue background with different geometrical figures in the background.
The words "THE STUDIO YOU LIVE EVENT:" appear on the screen.
This is followed by a quick succession of the faces from each of the six women on the panel.
The image goes back to the space with the floor and the blue background with pink lines. Two young women are standing and looking at the camera. The words: "CHANGING THE WAY" appear on the screen.
A new flip of the image shows another of the women from the panel. The words: "GIRLS SEE" appear on the screen.
The image retracts on itself and becomes part of a series of three moving rows showing different images shown until now.
The image of two women behind one of the desks fills the screen and the words "PHYSICAL ACTIVITY" appear. They become bigger until they both disappear.
We go back to the gym and we see the panel of women and he moderator standing up while holding some square cards.
She speaks in a lively way and says:
"Good morning and welcome to the Studio You live broadcast, live and direct from Mulberry Academy Shoreditch!"
People from the public cheer and clap.
The screen shows images of the women in the panel behind the tables.
The moderator resumes talking. She says:
"Today’s session is all about young girls and physical activity. Some of the barriers and challenges. We want to be talking about puberty and periods as well. As well as all of the good tips on how to get into sport."
The image changes to two women doing yoga on mats on a white floor and over a pink background with white geometrical figures on the background.
One more change shows the same two women, but in front of a background which is now blue with pink geometrical figures.
The image takes us back to the moderator. She says:
"Research shows that girls actually want to do sport. Want to do things in PE, but actually fewer enjoy it than boys."
The image shows now three girls exercising in a colourful sport court.
We go back to the moderator. She says:
"There’s lots of challenges and lots of hurdles to overcome and so I want to find out how to do just that."
Two women appear doing boxing-like movements on a purple background, while the moderator’s voiceover says:
"What do you do if you’re really shy and want to build the confidence to take part in sport?"
While she talks, the image changes to a man and a woman exercising against a blue background with pink geometrical figures and then back to the sport court and the women behind the tables.
One of the women in the panel says:
"Yeah, I think it’s definitely normal to feel nervous or like anxious if you’re trying something new for the first time. So remember that you won’t be alone in feeling that at all. But also, you have to remember that you have to try new things to enable you to find something that you do enjoy."
The image changes back to three women exercising on floor mats on a colourful room, followed by the two women doing boxing-like exercises in a purple room.
A voice says: "What does it mean to be sporty? Is there any such thing?"
The image goes back to the sports court. The voice continues:
"And is there one definition? Dani, let me come to you."
The woman called Dani responds. She says:
"I think labels like 'sporty' and 'not sporty' aren’t particularly helpful. Moving should be about looking after your body and your mind. It doesn’t have to look like playing netball or being in an athletics team. It’s all about how it makes you feel."
Another woman from the panel continues. She says:
"I think the most important thing in that exercise and movement just doesn’t have to look a certain way. If you see someone perfectly filtered on social media, going to the gym, wearing matching outfits, looking beautiful or running – that’s a very popular one at the moment – you don’t have to do that if you don’t enjoy it. There’s a million forms of exercise and the one that you enjoy is the best form of exercise, so --"
Images of women and girls doing different kinds of exercise in different backgrounds appear as she finishes talking.
A new woman from the group starts talking. She says:
"As we get older, we’re kind of told to take sport really seriously or to kind of push ourselves and always be the best. But you don’t have to do that if you don’t want to."
Once again, images of women of different ages and sizes and also a man exercise in different backgrounds.
A new woman intervenes and the image goes back to the sport court where the panel is taking place. She says:
"So, like the thing that I’m most interested now is powerlifting."
A panel member cheers.
The speaker continues and she says:
"Yeah, and I just love it because it makes me feel so strong. Like not just physically, but mentally. And like every day I feel like I can face challenges, like inside and outside of the gym. It translates to my regular life as well. And it showed me that I’m a lot more resilient than I actually thought I was."
The image of a woman in the panel clapping followed by images of the rest of the women from the panel.
We hear the moderator’s voice saying:
"This has been our first ever Studio You live broadcast, which has been incredible. Take care and we’ll see you soon. Bye!"
The closing slide has a blue background with different geometrical figures in different colours.
At the top of the screen in white we read "CHANGING THE WAY GIRLS SEE PE".
Under it we see the Studio You logo.
Next to it reads "a platform powered by" and under it the This Girl Can logo.
Under these two logos it says "LIVE EVENT"
Finally, centred at the bottom of the screen we see "HOSTED BY" and under it the Mulberry Academy Shoreditch logo.
The closing slide flips over itself and we see the "Learn Live News Channel" logo.
Music fades. Video ends.
